Front of House Manager - Brewery Taproom
Stodgy is growing! We're hiring a Front of House Manager to support daily operations and help lead our bar team. This is a hands-on role that combines bartending and team leadership. You'll work closely with ownership and play an important part in ensuring our taproom and events run smoothly, staff are supported, and guests have a great experience.
What the Role Includes
- Bartending during key shifts (approx. 70% of the role)
- Training new staff and providing ongoing support to the team
- Drafting schedules and covering last-minute callouts
- Booking food trucks and helping plan and run taproom events
- Monitoring staff performance and offering formal feedback with regularity
- Keeping service consistent and in line with our existing systems and values
- Collaborating with ownership on improvements, challenges, and priorities
- Managing customer disputes and ensuring situations are resolved calmly and respectfully
- Ordering cleaning supplies, snacks, and na beverages
- Monthly Merchandise and can inventory
- Managing private events
What We're Looking For
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with (or leading) a team
- Ability to remain calm, fair, and solution-oriented in a busy environment
- Some combination of hospitality, service, or management experience. We encourage strong management experience without hospitality experience to apply.
- Genuine interest in beer and hospitality (you don't need to be an expert)
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexible schedule is a must
- Comfortable taking initiative and stepping in wherever needed
This position pays $60,000 - $70,000 annually, paid hourly (+ tips) and depending on experience and number of hours worked.
